It is another successful accomplishment for LYS Energy Group (LYS), thrilled to announce the nimble and safe completion of two rooftop solar photovoltaic power plants – a 729.69kWp total installed capacity. The solar plants are installed atop of the facilities of a repeat customer, a steady clean energy adopter and Asian leader in the self-storage industry company in Singapore.
Our client’s first two initiatives in 2016 — Boon Keng and Kallang — have propelled this trendsetter to be the first self-storage company in the Lion city to implement solar PV systems at their facilities. The first two-rooftop solar energy PV systems have decreased significantly their daily conventional electricity consumption and reduced their annual CO2 emissions by approximatively 249 tonnes in three years.
Leveraging on the previous achievements and alongside their trusted partner LYS Energy Group, our client decided to reiterate their dedication to sustainability by extending clean energy initiatives to other premises. They opted again our holistic end-to-end solar energy solution to equip two additional facilities in Singapore — Ang Mo Kio (AMK) and Eunos. The two projects, a solar PV system installed on the metal roof of respectively 322.53kWp at AMK and 407.16kWp at Eunos, have been successfully commissioned.
While enabling our customer to make economic savings, these new landmarks will support the company’s aim of further reducing its carbon emissions by integrating greener energy into their business operations. The generating facilities are expected to offset annually an approximation of 164 tonnes of CO2 in AMK and 207 tonnes of CO2 in Eunos for the next 20 years.
