Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL), a JV of Solar Energy Corporation of India and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, is setting up solar parks in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
RUMSL invites proposals from eligible and interested firms in the prescribed format for “Consultancy services for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of Floating Solar PV Project and its auxiliary structures (including floating/ marine structures, transmission infrastructure, etc.) for a capacity of 600 MW in Kaveri Branch reservoir of Omkareshwar Dam, Madhya Pradesh, India
The last date for submission of technical proposal is on or before 12:00 Hrs. of 13 September 2021. Bid opening date is 14 September 2021.
The project is estimated to have floating solar panels of 600 MW power generation capacity in the backwaters of Omkareshwar dam. It is estimated that in 2 years, the project will start providing cheap and good quality power. The power from the 600 MW floating solar park would be evacuated through dedicated transmission line to nearest CTU/STU substation. The estimated investment in this project stands at Rs 3,000 crore.
Once completed the project will dwarf most floating solar plants around the world with its size.
