ACME Solar, a Gurugram-based company that produces renewable energy, has successfully built a 300 MW solar project for MSEDCL.
The project is located in the village Badiseed, Jodhpur District, Rajasthan. Maharashtra receives the electricity produced by this plant. This project is capable of lighting up more than 6 lakh homes.
Sandeep Kashyap, Chief Operating Officer of ACME Solar stated that this is the Company’s largest single-location project.
“We were hit by two rounds of the Covid-19 pandemic, which brought work at the sites to a halt. It caused disruptions in the supply chain, as well as skyrocketing costs of solar modules and other equipment. The prices of almost all components reached their peak and freight costs increased by many folds. With the help of our Management, great coordination and diligent teamwork, we were able to overcome all challenges and commission the project in record time,” Kashyap said.
ACME Solar is currently setting up additional 1,750 MW solar plants.
