Clenergy Mounts A 35MW Solar Plant In Vietnam

Arctech To Provide Solar Racking Solution for LSS4 Project in Malaysia

Arctech, the world’s leading tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions provider, announced it has harvested the first LSS4 project in Malaysia as the company is selected to provide close to 75MW fixed structure. The Asia Pacific, in recent years, has been the primary market for solar energy installations. With an additional installed capacity of around 78.01 GW in 2020, the region has a market share of about 58% of the global solar power installed capacity, as reported by IHS. The Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for solar PV in the last decade reduced by more than 88%, because of which developing countries in the region, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam, saw an increase in solar installation capacity in their total energy mix.

Torrent Power Acquires 50-MW Solar Plant From SkyPower Group For Rs 416 Cr in Telangana

Torrent Power Ltd., a Gujarat-based company, has purchased a 50-megawatt (solar power) plant from SkyPower Group for an enterprise value of Rs 416 crore. A special-purpose vehicle, the solar power plant in Telangana has a 25-year power purchase agreement with Northern Power Distribution Co. of Telangana Ltd. at a fixed tariff of Rs 5.35 per kWh. “Torrent Power completes acquisition of 50 MW solar power plant from SkyPower Group, pursuant to the Securities Purchase Agreement with SkyPower Southeast Asia III Investments Ltd and SkyPower Southeast Asia Holdings II Ltd and Sunshakti Solar Power Projects Pvt. Ltd.,” according to a statement on Monday. The enterprise value for this acquisition is about Rs 416 crore, consequent to closing adjustments, it stated.

Uratex Renews Power Supply Deal With ACEN, Expands Into Renewables

ACEN, Ayala Group’s listed energy platform, has entered into an agreement with Polyfoam-RGC International Corporation, manufacturer of top-selling Uratex mattresses and foam products, to supply the latter’s energy needs for its nationwide operations. The deal is Polyfoam-RGC’s third renewal with ACEN since it first tapped the power producer in 2017 to supply power for their two plants, and most recently, for their biggest plant in Valenzuela. This is the manufacturer’s first foray into renewable energy supply. Under the new contract, ACEN will power Polyfoam-RGC’s manufacturing plants in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Valenzuela City, and Canlubang, Laguna with renewable energy enough to eliminate an estimated 22,750 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Vietnam’s Boviet Solar Gets 255-MW Module Order From Leading Renewable Energy Developer For U.S. Utility-Scale Project

Cleantech Solar Commissions 2 Rooftop Solar PV Projects with System Sizes of 1 MW and 500 kW in Thailand

Cleantech Solar, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions to corporations in Southeast Asia and India, has powered up two rooftop solar PV systems in Thailand – a 1 MW rooftop solar PV project in Pathumthani province for a major consumer electronics multinational, and a 500-kW solar PV system at the manufacturing facility of another multinational plastic products manufacturer for the automotive industry in Rayong. Both projects have been delivered under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs).
