The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) again called on students throughout Indonesia to join the Solar Electricity Initiative Movement (GERILYA) program, Internship Program, and Certified Independent Study (MSIB) Batch IV. GERIYA itself is a collaborative program with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) which has been going on since 2021.
The GERILYA MSIB Batch IV program is implemented to support the government’s energy transition efforts to achieve the energy mix target of New, Renewable Energy (EBT) of 23% in 2025 and Net Zero Emissions (NZE) in 2060 or sooner.
“The seriousness of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the GERILYA Program is to develop and socialize New and Renewable Energy (EBT) to the younger generation, as one of the efforts to achieve the NZE target in 2060 or sooner. Hopefully, the implementation of GERILYA MSIB Batch IV can go well,” said the Coordinator of Communications, Public Information Services and Administration Arid Riza Abadi representing the Head of the Bureau of Communications, Public Information Services and Cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, at the Kick-off Program GERILYA MSIB Batch IV in Bandung, Monday (20/1).
According to Riza, the GERILYA MSIB Batch IV Program was initiated to provide space for students to gain experience and create a professional workforce in the renewable energy industry.
“We provide opportunities for students who are about to graduate to develop themselves and gain experience to enter the world of work,” he said.
