Howrah Division of Eastern Railway Invites Bids for 2.2 MW Rooftop Solar Project

The Howrah Division of Eastern Railway has put out a call for bids for a 2.2 MW on-grid rooftop solar project. The project does not require battery backup and the deadline for submission of bids is March 6, 2023, with bid opening taking place on the same day.

As part of the bidding process, bidders are required to provide an earnest money deposit of ₹ 653,000. The estimated cost of the project is Rs, 100,602,788. The project is expected to be completed within six months of the work order being received and all equipment used must comply with the “Make in India” policy.

To be eligible for consideration, bidders must have completed at least three similar works with a value equal to or greater than 30% of the tender amount within the last seven years. Alternatively, bidders must have completed at least two similar works with a value equal to or greater than 40% of the tender amount or at least one similar work with a value equal to or greater than 60% of the tender amount.

For consideration, bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is less. V refers to the advertised tender value while N represents the number of years required to complete the work. The average annual turnover is calculated as the average of total contractual payments in the previous three financial years.
