Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced the auction results for its 1200 MW ISTS-Connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects (Tranche-VI).
Four bidders have won the auction, with AMP Energy Green Private Limited being the lowest bidder with a tariff of ₹4.64/kWh for 100 MW capacity. The other winners include ReNew Vikram Shakti Private Limited, Hero Solar Energy Private Limited, and Acme Cleantech Solutions Private Limited with tariffs of ₹4.69/kWh, ₹4.72/kWh, and ₹4.73/kWh, respectively. However, Acme Cleantech Solutions Private Limited was awarded only 380 MW out of the 1080 MW they had bid for under bucket filling.
The project required Hybrid Power Developers to establish ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects and an Energy Storage System (ESS) to supply Wind-Solar Hybrid Power. The project will provide assured peak power supply in India, and connectivity and long-term open access are in the scope of the Hybrid Power Developer. The renewable energy project is expected to contribute significantly to India’s ambitious target of achieving 175 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2022.
