MAHAGENCO Invites Bids for 62 MW Grid-Connected Solar Power Project in Maharashtra

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) is seeking bids for a 62 MW grid-connected solar power project in the Akola district of Maharashtra. The successful bidder will be responsible for installing and commissioning the project, including an associated HT overhead transmission line, underground cable, and electrical equipment. Additionally, the bidder must construct bays up to the point of interconnection at 220 kV bays at the Paras substation and operate and maintain the project for five years.

Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of INR 62 lakh. The successful bidder must also provide a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract value within seven days of the issuance of the letter of award.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must have experience executing ground-mounted solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 25 MW or higher, out of which a single solar project of 12 MW or higher capacity should have been operational for at least six months prior to the bid opening date. Alternatively, bidders should have executed an industrial project for at least INR 125 crore in the last ten years as a developer or EPC contractor in process industry with 220 kV power line connectivity.

Bidders must have positive net worth and the average annual turnover of bidders during the last three financial years should be at least INR 235 crore.

The solar modules used in the project must have a warranted output wattage of not less than 90% at the end of 12 years and 80% at the end of 25 years. Furthermore, the manufacturing date of all modules used in the project must not be more than 12 months prior to the date of transfer of ownership to MAHAGENCO.
