Saudi Arabia Discusses Export Of Clean Hydrogen To Europe With Netherlands

Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman, the Energy Minister of Saudi Arabia discussed the export of clean hydrogen to Europe with Wopke Hoekstra, the Netherlands’ Minister for Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister.

Discussion took place during a meeting between Prince Abdulaziz and Hoekstra in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the relations of cooperation in different energy fields. This was especially true in the field of renewable energy and clean hydrogen as Saudi Arabia is aspiring to be a major player in this area.

Prince Abdulaziz, Hoekstra, and others discussed also the possibility to make Rotterdam Port (Netherlands) a gateway for the export of clean hydrogen from Saudi Arabia into Europe.

The Saudi Green Initiative and Middle East Green Initiative were mentioned during the meeting.
