The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT), a government agency in Kerala, India, has issued a call for bids to install 1.25 MW of rooftop solar projects across 18 sites in Thiruvananthapuram. The project will be funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram’s Solar City initiative, and the successful bidder will be responsible for designing, supplying, engineering, testing, and commissioning the projects, as well as providing ten years of operation and maintenance. The last date to submit bids is May 10, 2023, with the winning bidder determined by the lowest price.
Bidders must be registered with ANERT and have the requisite experience, expertise, and capability to deliver the project. The solar modules used must be Mono PERC type with a capacity of 500 Wp or higher, and they should be listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The modules must be guaranteed for ten years, with a peak watt capacity of at least 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
If the project is delayed beyond the agreed-upon time period, ANERT will impose a penalty of 0.5% of the order value/week or part thereof, up to a maximum of 10% of the total cost. The commission of the project can be extended by up to 25% of the original time. The successful bidder will also be required to provide a bank guarantee of 3% of the contract, which will be returned after the commercial operation date.
