ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ASHL) has commissioned Phase-I of two key components of its renewable energy project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, strengthening its portfolio of solar and battery energy storage assets.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, the company commissioned Phase-I of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) component of its Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Project on September 14, 2026. The commissioned BESS capacity stands at 53.63 MW/300 MWh, forming part of the project’s total planned capacity of 300 MW/1,581 MWh.
The project is located at Village Kelan in Tehsil Chhatargarh, District Bikaner, Rajasthan. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the commissioned BESS component is scheduled for September 16, 2026.
Separately, ACME Solar Holdings, through its subsidiary ACME Renewtech Private Limited, has commissioned Phase-I of a 300 MW solar power project at the same location. The commissioned phase comprises 66.68 MW of solar generation capacity and was completed on September 12, 2026. The COD for this solar capacity is scheduled for September 14, 2026.
The company stated that only the BESS component of the FDRE project has currently been commissioned, while the associated renewable energy generation component remains under development.
The commissioning of the solar and energy storage capacities marks another step in ACME Solar Holdings’ expansion of integrated renewable energy infrastructure in Rajasthan. The combination of solar generation and large-scale battery storage is expected to support the delivery of reliable and dispatchable renewable power as the remaining project components are developed.
