THDC India has issued an invitation for bids to empanel consultants for the acquisition of land to develop 2,000 MW ultra mega renewable energy parks in Rajasthan as part of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Solar Park Program. The bidding deadline is set for August 10, 2023, with the bid opening scheduled for the following day.
The consultants will be empaneled for a two-year duration and categorized into Class A and Class B based on the land requirement for the projects. Class A pertains to projects needing over 500 acres of land, while Class B involves projects requiring 250 to 500 acres of land.
Eligible bidders must have prior experience executing consultancy services for land acquisition, including encumbrance and encroachment-free private or government land on freehold or lease basis, or encumbrance-free private land on an upfront charge or lease basis for at least 20 years within the last five years.
For Class A empanelment, the bidder should have completed consultancy services for a land parcel of more than 500 acres, while for Class B, the consultancy experience should be for a land parcel ranging from 250 to 500 acres.
Additionally, the consultant firm must have at least one individual (employee, partner, or director) with a legal background and experience handling land acquisitions of at least 250 acres for Class-B applicants and at least 500 acres for Class-A applicants under contracts during the last five years.
Furthermore, the consultancy firm should have at least one individual (employee, partner, or director) with a minimum of 15 years of prior experience as an officer in the land revenue department or administrative department of the Government of Rajasthan.
This initiative aims to accelerate the development of large-scale renewable energy parks in Rajasthan, bolstering the state’s renewable energy capacity and contributing to India’s sustainable energy goals.
