Reservoir Link Energy Subsidiary Awarded Contract For 50MW Solar PV Plant

Reservoir Link Energy Bhd (RLEB) has announced that its subsidiary, Founder Energy Sdn. Bhd. (FESB), has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Samaiden Sdn. Bhd. (SSB) for subcontract works on a Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Plant (LSSPV).

The 50MWac solar PV plant is located in Sungai Petani, Daerah Kuala Muda, Kedah, and the LOA was approved for announcement.

The scope of work includes civil & structural, mechanical & electrical works within the site, including the supply of PV mounting structures. The contract sum is RM21 million, subject to actual work done.

Reservoir Link Executive Director Thien Chiet Chai said, “Aligned with our objectives, which outline our commitment towards sustainable growth, we are delighted to have been awarded such a significant project. “Looking ahead, we are anticipating accelerated growth from the adoption of renewable energy technologies, in alignment with the government’s agenda. In addition, we foresee more businesses coming onboard to embrace the energy transition which will lead to more opportunities ahead for us given our presence in this industry,” he added.

Completion is expected by June 9, 2024, within a ten-month contract period. A down payment of 5% of the contract sum is due to FESB within thirty days from the date of the invoice.

SSB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samaiden Group Berhad, listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. SSB specializes in providing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) services for solar photovoltaic systems and power plants, along with operation and maintenance services.
