Sunsure Energy and Sandoz India Collaborate on 20 MWp Solar Power Deal for Sustainable Energy Supply

In a noteworthy collaboration, Sunsure Energy, a prominent player in India’s renewable energy landscape, has forged a strategic partnership with Sandoz India. The agreement entails the supply of more than 31 million units of eco-friendly energy annually over the next 25 years.

Sunsure Energy is slated to establish a dedicated renewable energy facility, with Sandoz India being the exclusive beneficiary of the generated power. This commitment to green power will be fulfilled through Open Access power supply to Sandoz India’s facilities situated in Maharashtra. The anticipated outcome of this initiative is a commendable offset of over 26 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions on an annual basis for the next quarter-century.

Expressing his views on this collaboration, Mr. Sudhir Bhandare, Executive Director & Head Technical Operation at Sandoz India, emphasized the significance of this partnership in the context of their sustainability objectives. He highlighted the company’s commitment to operating in an environmentally conscious manner and lauded the project’s potential to substantially reduce carbon emissions, thereby contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Mr. Shashank Sharma, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Sunsure Energy, conveyed his excitement about welcoming Sandoz India into their esteemed customer base. He expressed delight at the prospect of supplying green power to Sandoz’s facilities, underscoring Sunsure Energy’s dedication to leveraging its expertise in the renewable energy sector to support Sandoz India in achieving its sustainability milestones. Sharma also emphasized the partnership’s broader significance, characterizing it as a significant stride in promoting the adoption of green energy within the pharmaceutical sector, both in India and on a global scale.
