The legislation, supported by a joint report from committees on energy, environment, and four others, aims to retain current investors and establish Egypt as a global hub for green hydrogen initiatives.

Aligned with economic principles, the law provides tax breaks, exemptions, and non-tax incentives, fostering an attractive investment climate while promoting sustainability and employment opportunities.

The seven-article law covers project conditions, tax incentives, non-tax benefits, and conditions for enjoying incentives, emphasizing local components and technology transfer. The competent minister issues certificates for incentive enjoyment.
