The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) is seeking proposals from engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors for the installation of a 1 MW rooftop solar system in Maharashtra.
The Trust intends to award the project on a lumpsum turnkey basis and has enlisted SLnko Energy as the project management consultant.
SLnko Energy will play a crucial role in the project, overseeing the technical and commercial evaluation of bids, seeking clarifications from potential contractors, and making recommendations for the appointment of a contractor to carry out the rooftop solar installation.
The project is slated for completion by March 15, 2024, and the selected contractors will be entrusted with the operation and maintenance (O&M) responsibilities for a period of five years.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by January 27, 2024, with the bid opening scheduled for January 29. A prerequisite for participation is the submission of an earnest money deposit amounting to โน4 lakhs.
The generated power from the rooftop solar system will be utilized for the Trust’s captive consumption.
Selected contractors are required to provide a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 3% of the project cost (excluding O&M expenses). Additionally, they must submit 5% of the yearly O&M contract value during the O&M period.
Eligibility criteria include prior experience in designing, supplying, erecting, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop solar projects of at least 1 MW in India on a turnkey basis within the last five financial years. The reference solar project must have been operational for a minimum of six months leading up to the bid due date.
Bidders should also have a proven track record in the business of solar project O&M, with successful operation and maintenance of solar projects of 1 MW or above capacity in India for at least two years preceding the bid due date.
Financial requirements include a minimum average annual turnover of โน5 crores over the past three financial years, with a consistent or increasing trend. Bidders should have maintained profitability in the last three years, and their net worth in the preceding year should be positive.
The Trust has specified the use of mono PERC modules with a minimum capacity of 540W. These modules must come with warranties ensuring a peak watt output of not less than 92% at the end of 10 years and 83% at the end of 25 years. The derating of the modules is limited to a maximum of 0.6% in any year, excluding the first year of operation.
