MAHAPREIT Launches 400 MW Rooftop Solar PV Tender for Maharashtra’s MSMEs

Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) has officially opened a tender for the procurement and installation of 400 MW of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. This initiative targets Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Maharashtra, aiming to foster sustainable energy solutions within the state.

Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals, accompanied by a non-refundable tender fee and all necessary documentation, by the deadline of April 2, 2024, before 16:00 hours. Proposals lacking either the tender fee or the required bid security will be outright rejected. Should the deadline fall on a holiday, submissions will be accepted on the subsequent working day. The technical bid opening is scheduled for April 3, 2024, at 11:00 hours, with bidders’ representatives welcome to attend.

The scope of this ambitious project encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, financing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar installations. Moreover, it includes a comprehensive twenty-year operation and maintenance commitment. The financial bid opening will be announced later via the e-procurement portal and MAHAPREIT’s official website.

This project not only signifies a substantial step towards augmenting Maharashtra’s renewable energy capacity but also aligns with the broader goal of promoting environmental sustainability and energy independence at the MSME level throughout the state.
