NTPC Targets 5GW Capacity Addition in Fiscal Year 2025

NTPC Ltd. has committed to expanding its installed capacity by 5GW, demonstrating its dedication to delivering clean, dependable, and cost-effective energy solutions.

NTPC aims to enhance its renewable energy (RE) capacity by 3GW, alongside increasing its thermal energy capacity by 2GW, thus reinforcing India’s energy infrastructure.

In the fiscal year 2024, NTPC successfully integrated 3,924 MW of new capacity into its portfolio, elevating its cumulative installed capacity to nearly 76 GW. Currently, the company operates with a 3.5 GW RE capacity and boasts a robust pipeline exceeding 20 GW.

Looking ahead to 2032, NTPC envisions expanding its non-fossil fuel-based capacity to constitute 45-50% of its overall portfolio, with plans to reach 60 GW of RE capacity within a total portfolio of 130 GW.

With a diverse array of thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants, NTPC is committed to delivering reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity.
