The National Environmental License Authority (ANLA) has approved the environmental license for a 230-kilovolt electrical transmission line, facilitating the connection of the 300 MW Puerta de Oro solar park in Guaduas and Chaguanรญ municipalities, Cundinamarca department, to the National Interconnected System.
The authorized transmission line traverses Honda and Armero Guayabal municipalities in Tolima department, as well as Guaduas in Cundinamarca. Energy generated by the solar park will be channeled to the existing Substation in San Felipe, Armero Guayabal municipality, Tolima department.
This approval marks a milestone, as it brings the total to 15 transmission lines associated with Non-Conventional Sources of Renewable Energy (FNCER) projects that have been environmentally viable, according to ANLA.
In a related development, the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy granted provisional approval in November 2020, declaring the project as of public utility and social interest. The resolution, which also addresses land requisites for construction and protection, is currently undergoing public consultation until November 30.
