“We are expanding our business in Kerala. In 2023 alone, we established solar panels for 70 MW in Kerala. The state has a vast potential in the solar energy market, and Adani Group has significant plans for Kerala,” stated Cecil Augustine, National Sales Head of Adani Solar, during a press conference.

Augustine emphasized the superior quality of their Indian-made solar panels, claiming they have a higher production capacity than others available in the Asian market. The MoU with Almiya Group is expected to enhance Adani Solar’s market penetration in Kerala. Almiya has a long-standing relationship with Adani Solar, having been involved in a 45 MW plant project in Tamil Nadu.

Adani Solar currently holds a 50 percent market share in India’s residential solar panel market. Augustine highlighted Kerala’s potential in this sector, noting that an average family can install a residential solar unit for approximately Rs 1.6 lakh, which comes with a 30-year warranty and can significantly reduce power bills.

Furthermore, the Adani Group is exploring the use of solar energy at the Vizhinjam International Sea Port, which is under construction by Adani Ports, indicating their broader commitment to sustainable energy solutions in Kerala.
