LONGi has marked a significant milestone in Pakistanโ€™s solar energy sector with the successful completion of a 165KW commercial rooftop solar project in Peshawar. Installed on the rooftop of the Shama CNG station, this project employs 284 pieces of 580-watt LONGi Hi-MO X6 photovoltaic modules, providing a total installed capacity of 165KW. This development brings cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions to Peshawar.

The solar installation generates approximately 700 to 750 units of electricity per day during the summer months. This significant energy output enhances the Shama CNG stationโ€™s energy self-sufficiency and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by around 20 tons per month, contributing positively to local environmental conservation. The estimated payback period for this solar installation is about 4 to 5 years, based on the generation rate and the cost of electricity in the region.

Daud Shah, Director of the Shama CNG filling station, highlighted the challenges posed by escalating electricity costs and frequent power cuts, which impacted the station’s operations. Concerned about future expenses and business continuity, Shah opted for renewable energy solutions. After thorough research, he selected LONGi’s Hi-MO X6 panels for their efficiency and reliability.

The simulated power generation for the LONGi Hi-MO X6 modules predicted a daily output of around 650 units. However, the actual performance has consistently exceeded expectations, generating 700 to 750 units per day. This superior performance demonstrates the efficiency and robustness of LONGiโ€™s Hi-MO X6 modules in real-world applications and underscores the potential of photovoltaic technology in practical use.

Encouraged by these results, Daud Shah plans to further enhance the stationโ€™s energy self-sufficiency by expanding the project to 200KW and channeling surplus energy back into the grid.

LONGiโ€™s successful project in Pakistan reinforces its leading position in the global solar market and supports the countryโ€™s green energy development. The company remains committed to innovation and growth, aiming to deliver more efficient and environmentally friendly solar solutions worldwide.
