NTPC Invites Bids For 400 kWp Rooftop Solar Project At SVNIRTAR Under CSR Initiative

NTPC Limited has invited bids under domestic competitive bidding for the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 400 kWp rooftop solar system at SVNIRTAR, as part of its CSR initiative. The bidding follows a single-stage, two-envelope process. Interested bidders can access the detailed scope of work and technical specifications through NTPC’s e-procurement portal. The project encompasses equipment supply, erection, inspection, and associated civil works, with financing sourced internally by NTPC.

Key dates, including the last date for bid submission, will be 13th December 2024 and the Clarification End Date will be 06th December 2024. The tender fee is โ‚น2,655, with no exemptions allowed. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โ‚น2,00,000 is mandatory and must be submitted through online payment or a bank guarantee. NTPC has clarified that no exemptions for the EMD or tender fee will be provided. The Price Bid opening date will be communicated separately to qualified bidders.

The bidders must meet technical qualifications, including successful commissioning of solar photovoltaic systems with a minimum cumulative capacity of 300 kWp and at least one project of 100 kWp that has been operational for six months before the bid opening date. Financial criteria mandate an average annual turnover of at least โ‚น185 lakh in the preceding three years. Specific conditions apply for bidders relying on holding company financial credentials or submitting unaudited statements.

The tender also requires compliance with the “Make in India” guidelines, with Class-I local suppliers eligible to participate. Prospective bidders must submit necessary declarations about local content and comply with NTPC’s fraud prevention policy. Bidders from countries sharing a land border with India must be registered with the competent authority unless exempted under specific conditions.

NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids without assigning reasons.
