In a groundbreaking collaboration, FIMER and REPLUS have launched India’s first containerized mobile Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)—a solution designed to redefine power delivery in remote and off-grid locations. Developed by FIMER for REPLUS, this first-of-its-kind project marks a significant milestone in sustainable, transportable energy infrastructure in India.
The innovation lies in its compact yet powerful design: a 640kWHr /120kW BESS system, neatly housed within a containerized unit. Engineered to fit on a standard truck, this #EnergyOnWheels solution is fully portable, enabling the system to be transported to remote mining areas for on-site electricity generation—where access to conventional infrastructure is limited or non-existent.
The project leverages FIMER’s advanced MGS100-120kW configuration, with a charging capacity of 72kW and is powered by a 640kWHr lithium-ion battery. At its core, the system is built for Diesel Generator (DG) Mitigation, offering a clean, efficient alternative that minimizes carbon emissions, fuel costs, and operational complexity.
The solution has already been deployed by REPLUS in Pune, specifically to support a DG mitigation application—replacing diesel-powered systems with a greener, smarter energy source. This practical use case underlines not only the system’s technical capabilities but also its real-world value in cutting operational costs and environmental impact.
