Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation has successfully concluded the auction for 600 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid projects across India under a build-own-operate model. The move marks another step in strengthening India’s renewable energy ecosystem and ensuring a more reliable supply of clean power.

The tender was conducted through a tariff-based competitive bidding process and saw strong participation from renewable energy developers. The discovered tariffs ranged between ₹3.74 and ₹3.75 per kWh, reflecting growing market confidence in hybrid solutions that help manage peak power demand and improve grid stability.

Vismaya Renewables, a part of UPC Renewables, emerged as the lowest bidder with a quoted tariff of ₹3.74 per kWh. Purvah Green secured the largest share of 300 MW at a tariff of ₹3.75 per kWh. Hexa Climate Solutions won 100 MW at ₹3.75 per kWh, while Sprng Energy secured 100 MW at the same tariff. Sprng Energy had bid for 200 MW but was awarded 100 MW under the bucket-filling method.
