Radiance InfraCo Renewables, a joint venture between Radiance Renewables and PIDG (Private Infrastructure Development Group), has announced the operational commencement of its 87 MWp Korwar solar power project in Karnataka.
The Korwar plant marks the second project developed under the JV and was commissioned ahead of the monsoon season, underscoring strong project execution capabilities and timely delivery.
Following the commissioning, PIDG’s Asset Management team recently met with the Radiance Renewables leadership in Mumbai, including CEO Nitin Bhatia, before visiting the Korwar site to review operations.
According to the companies, the project will contribute significant clean energy capacity to India’s power mix and support the country’s ongoing energy transition goals. It also highlights the use of long-term commercial offtake agreements with private partners, which the companies say is helping expand investment models beyond traditional government-backed independent power producers (IPPs).
Beyond project development, the partnership is also focusing on social impact initiatives. In Tamil Nadu, Radiance InfraCo Renewables and PIDG are supporting training programmes for women in solar repair, digital literacy, financial skills, and entrepreneurship at the site of a 21.3 MWp solar plant, aimed at improving livelihood opportunities and strengthening local participation in the clean energy sector.
The companies said they look forward to further collaboration and continued expansion of clean energy and community development initiatives in India.
