Skye Renewables has commissioned a 1.7 megawatt-peak (MWp) rooftop solar energy system at Marquee Mall in the Philippines. The commercial property is owned by Ayala Land, one of the country’s leading real estate companies.
The newly commissioned solar project is expected to support the mall’s electricity requirements while increasing the use of renewable energy in the retail sector. By generating clean power on-site, the installation can help reduce the mall’s dependence on electricity from conventional energy sources and lower its overall carbon footprint.
The project represents another step toward the adoption of renewable energy solutions across commercial properties in the Philippines. Large shopping malls and retail centers consume significant amounts of electricity for lighting, cooling, security systems, elevators, and other daily operations. Rooftop solar systems can help such facilities meet a portion of their power demand through clean energy generated directly at the site.
For Marquee Mall, the 1.7 MWp solar installation will provide clean electricity while supporting long-term energy cost savings.
