“As the implementer of Michigan’s two largest energy efficiency programs for Consumers Energy and DTE Energy, selection as the Implementation Contractor of the Year is a distinct honor for us, our extended team, our utility partners, and the many contractors and customers who make Michigan a delight to work in,” said Nick Brod, Senior Vice President for Program Design and Implementation at DNV GL.

DNV GL has served as the primary energy efficiency program implementer for both DTE and Consumers since 2009. During that time, DNV GL has completed more than 115,000 energy efficiency projects throughout the state of Michigan and distributed more than $532M in incentive payments for these projects. These efforts have resulted in an energy savings of more than 30M Mcf of natural gas, 10,000+ GWh of electricity, and $700M in avoided energy costs for Consumers Energy’s and DTE Energy’s customers.

“DTE Energy would like to congratulate DNV GL; having run our program for over 10 years, we have a great partnership which has led to having great success together.  I’m happy to see the Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association has recognized DNV GL for their great work within the State of Michigan!” said Kenneth Randazzo, Manager, EO Business & Energy Partnership at DTE Energy.

MEECA is a nonprofit trade association that promotes and supports the contractors, utilities, manufacturers, and program implementers that provide energy efficiency products and services across Michigan. Their members directly serve electric and gas customers in all sectors—residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural—to ensure they are in turn able to save energy. – The Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association (MEECA) named DNV GL as the Implementation Contractor of the Year for 2020.
