The Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association (MEECA) named DNV GL as the Implementation Contractor of the Year for 2020. This is the fourth year in a row that DNV GL has been given this honor, having first received the award in 2017.
“As the implementer of Michigan’s two largest energy efficiency programs for Consumers Energy and DTE Energy, selection as the Implementation Contractor of the Year is a distinct honor for us, our extended team, our utility partners, and the many contractors and customers who make Michigan a delight to work in,” said Nick Brod, Senior Vice President for Program Design and Implementation at DNV GL.
DNV GL has served as the primary energy efficiency program implementer for both DTE and Consumers since 2009. During that time, DNV GL has completed more than 115,000 energy efficiency projects throughout the state of Michigan and distributed more than $532M in incentive payments for these projects. These efforts have resulted in an energy savings of more than 30M Mcf of natural gas, 10,000+ GWh of electricity, and $700M in avoided energy costs for Consumers Energy’s and DTE Energy’s customers.
“Since 2009, DNV GL has achieved our goals and delivered innovation for our Consumers Energy Business Energy Efficiency Program,” said Jill Rolstone, Director, Consumers Energy Business Energy Efficiency Program. “This fourth-year win is well deserved and is a testament to their commitment to our programs and Michigan.”
“DTE Energy would like to congratulate DNV GL; having run our program for over 10 years, we have a great partnership which has led to having great success together. I’m happy to see the Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association has recognized DNV GL for their great work within the State of Michigan!” said Kenneth Randazzo, Manager, EO Business & Energy Partnership at DTE Energy.
