2. What have been some recent `milestones achieved by the company that you wish to highlight?
Contendre Solar has very well evolved and stabilised its position in this competitive renewable industry. Along with earning goodwill for ourselves, we have also managed to achieve a few great feats which have strengthened our value proposition in the market.
Contendre Greenergy Pvt. Ltd. has been included in the Approved list of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Our PV modules were approved by and supplied to many esteemed Government PSUs like Steel Authority India Limited, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, South East Central Railway, Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited, Kerela State Electricity Board and many more. Coming to the Service Sector, apart from the execution of many good solar projects under the CAPEX model, we were successful in establishing our boot model services and signing our first MOU for the same with one of the world’s biggest logistics companies, DHL for their multiple warehousing locations across India.
3. According to you, what is going to be the impact of BCD and ALMM on the industry as a whole?
BCD and ALMM are crucial steps taken by our government to support the booming solar manufacturing industry in India. It is a welcome step for our country as it will lead to huge employment creation in our country as many job opportunities will be created in this sector.
Dependency on other countries will be minimised leading to more forex reserves and lesser dependency on imports. Although it will be a bit difficult on the project developers’ part for the transitional period but will surely create a positive impact in the long run.
4. What are the company’s plans regarding expansion to other regions outside India?
Following up on our company’s success in the domestic market, we are very keen and very focused on making ourselves a global player. With many export orders been already executed by us and we have already been certified under IEC CB Scheme, it allows us easy access to the global PV market.
5. What are your growth and future development plans for the coming years?
With the visible boom and growth in the renewable energy sector of India and especially the solar industry in particular and also with the Government’s support and initiatives towards domestic manufacturing, it becomes a no-brainer for an established player like us to expand ourselves further. We have already initiated the updating and expansion of our existing manufacturing facility with a plan to add another 500Mw along with an ability to produce all the high-end products within a short period of time. Apart from the volumetric expansion of the existing facility, we plan to revolutionize our existing corporate model with a more refined experience-oriented approach which will be revealed soon along with more product verticals to support our mission of easing the access to renewable energy for all.
