NTPC Invites Bids for BoS Package for 1255 MW of Solar Projects in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (A wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd) has invited for bids for balance of system (BoS) package for 1255 MW solar power projects (consist of 2 projects of 315 MW each and 1 project of 310 MW) at Khavda Re Power Park, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

The scope of work includes Design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading storage, installation, testing and commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic plant excluding Supply of Solar PV modules. It also includes receipt, unloading at site, storage, installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV Modules.

Design and Construction of foundation & erection of Module Mounting Structure (MMS) with Tracker based Technology for SPV panels, including fixing of PV Modules on Tracker and PV Modules interconnection is also part of the project.

All associated electrical and civil works required for interfacing with grid (i.e. transformers, panels, protection system, cables, metering at 33kV level, grid compliance study as per regulation etc.), evacuation of power to 33kV Switchgear of 33/400kV GIS Substation provided by Owner through 33kV cable and placement of SCADA, PPC panel and associated equipment are part of the contract.

The bid submission deadline is July 6, 2022 and bids will be opened on the same day.

All bids must be accompanied by Bid Security for 1 Block (315MW) the EMD is INR 10,00,00,000/- (Indian Rupees Ten Crore only) and for 2 or more Blocks (630MW/945MW/1255MW) EMD amount is INR 20,00,00,000/- (Indian Rupees Twenty Crore only)

The Bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/ supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of Balance of System of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity. The reference plant of 10 MWp or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six (6) months prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

OR The Bidder should be a developer of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity. The reference plant of 10 MWp or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six (6) months prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

OR The Bidder should have executed in the last ten (10) years an industrial project either as developer or as EPC Contractor in the area of power/ steel/ oil and gas/ petro-chemical/ fertilizer/cement/coal mining including coal handling plant and/ or any other process industry, of minimum financial figure as specified in the Table below, in a single project or single work and the same should be in successful operation for at least one (1) year prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

The average annual turnover of the Bidder should not be less than Block-1 (315MW) Rs 100 Crore; Block-1 (315MW)+Block-2 (315MW) Rs. 300 Crore; Block-1 (315MW)+Block-2 (315MW)+Block-3 (315MW) Rs. 700 Crore; Block-1 (315MW)+Block-2 (315MW)+Block-3 (315MW)+Block-4 Rs. 1300 Crore, for any three (03) financial years out of the preceding five (05) financial years as on date of techno commercial bid opening.
