JAKEDA Floats Tender For 200 MW Rooftop Solar Systems Installation In Jammu
The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has issued an invitation for bids to appoint companies to install and commission 200 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems of capacities ranging from 1 kW to 10 kW in the city of Jammu. The proposals must be submitted by July 29, 2022. Bidders must base their solar system prices on the benchmark cost specified by MNRE. The project is carried out as part of the Jammu Solar City Mission, which falls under the Phase II of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Rooftop Solar Program.
GUVNL Invites Bids For Procuring Power From 750 MW Solar Projects With Greenshoe Option
Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the purchase of power from grid-connected solar projects totaling 750 MW, with a greenshoe option for an additional 750 MW of capacity. The deadline for submitting online bids is August 23, 2022. The day of the bid opening is August 26. The winning bidders and GUVNL may agree to a power purchase agreement (PPA) that will last for 25 years, starting on the project’s anticipated commercial operation date.
IREDA To Increase MSME’s Participation in Renewable Energy By Offering More Loans
Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), stated that the agency is committed to increasing participation of MSMEs in the green energy sector by offering more loans. He spoke at the MSME Banking Conclave in 2022. The Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Kard praised the efforts of IREDA in the development of the sector. Das said while MSMEs only represent 1.86 per cent of the company’s total loan assets of Rs 33,884 crore (as of May 2022), the IREDA is attempting to address the issues of MSMEs in order to increase their participation in the renewable energy (RE) sector.
NMDC Looking to Set Up Solar Plants in Telangana: Chairman Deb
National Mining Development Corporation (NMDC) is looking to set up solar power plants in the southern state of Telangana, according to its Chairman and Managing Director Sumit Deb. The state-run mining company is keen to invest in renewable energy, Deb told PTI, without sharing details about the investment. “Yes, we have plans. We are looking in Telangana where we have a sponge iron unit,” he said. Deb said NMDC may also set up a solar power plant on the land available with its sponge iron unit, located at Paloncha in Telangana.
JERC Issues Renewable Energy Buy Obligation 2022 for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

These Regulations shall apply to all Distribution Licensees, captive users, using other than Renewable Energy Sources exceeding 1 MW, and to Open Access Consumers with a contracted demand exceeding 1 MW from sources other than Renewable sources of Energy.
UPNEDA Floats Tender For 38 MW Residential Rooftop Solar Installations
Under Phase II of the grid-connected rooftop solar program of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in the state, the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued a request for proposals for the installation and commissioning of 38 MW of residential rooftop solar systems having a range of capacities that will be connected to the grid. The state’s implementing organization for the tender is Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The capital expenditure (CAPEX) model will be utilized for the project’s development. The bids must be submitted by July 28, 2022, which will be opened on the next day. Bidders must base their solar system prices on the MNRE-provided benchmark cost.
DHBVN Invites Bids for 26.43 MW of Solar Projects Under KUSUM-A Program in Haryana
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVN) invites applications from the interested farmers, group of farmers, Panchayats, Co-operatives, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO), and Water User Associations (WUA) for setting up of decentralized grid connected ground/ stilt solar PV power plants of capacity upto 2 MW to be connected to respective sub-stations of rural areas notified by DHBVN. The deadline to submit bids is July 26, 2022. The bidding will be opened on July 29. These projects will be implemented within 5 km radius of substations and developed under the Component A of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Utthaan Mahabhiyan’s (PM-KUSUM).
