NCT Group of Companies signs an agreement with Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd as well as Green Quarter Sdn Bhd in order to increase sustainability and productivity for the NCT Smart Industrial Park development (NSIP), Selangor.

Huawei will offer information and communications technology infrastructure products and solutions, as well as solar energy storage solutions and data centre solutions through the MoU to help NSIP become a fully connected smart development.

Huawei will also offer value-added technology innovations that were developed and created by it.

Chong Chern Peng, vice president of Huawei Malaysia Digital Power Business, stated that the pursuit of an intelligent era, as well as carbon neutrality, has become a global shared goal. Data centres will experience changes in their service forms, energy supply, and maintenance models.

“The Huawei Data Centre Facility Business will embrace changes by optimising organisational structures, continuously investing in innovation, building a healthy business ecosystem and driving the sustainable development of the data centre industry,” he said.

NCT’s agreement With Green Quarters aims at establishing a sustainable industrial park, in accordance with international and local green building certifications. This will help reduce the carbon footprint of commercial and industrial operations.

Green Quarters will provide relevant counsel in its field of expertise to NSIP, which will open up opportunities for both sides to explore other areas of collaboration including sustainability practices as well as renewable energy.
