According to an official notification, A Search-cum-Selection Committee constituted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Bijay Kr Mohanty was selected for the post of Director (Finance) of IREDA.
The notification stated that the ScSC had recommended Sh Bijay Kr Mohanty, Sr GM(F&A), REC Ltd. Gurugram, for the post of Director (Finance), Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA).
After an interview, Mohanty was selected by the committee from a shortlist of four candidates. The selection committee interviewed Ajay Mathur, Chief GM, REC Ltd, Gurugram, Dr Ramesh Chandra Sharma, GM (F&A) & CFO, IREDA Ltd, New Delhi, Bijay Kr Mohanty, Sr GM (F&A), REC Ltd, Gurugram, Surendra Kr Sharma, AGM & Head (F), BHEL, Haridwar.
Since Dr Ramesh Chandra Sharma’s superannuation, the post of Director (Finance), IREDA, has been vacant.
IREDA is a Miniratna PSU under MNRE. It was established as a nonbanking financial institution. IREDA is a financial institution that promotes, develops and extends financial assistance to help set up projects related to energy efficiency and conservation.
