REMCL is a joint venture of the rail ministry with RITES Ltd.

The agreement will allow the companies to collaborate on areas of renewable energy projects (wind, solar and hybrid) that are related to the Indian Railways’ net-zero carbon emission targets.

Both companies will use their strengths to explore different sectors and thematic areas that involve various types of advisory services assignments in relation to renewable energy projects in India.

Rajesh Agarwal, HRIDC’s managing director, stated that the organization would identify green energy projects within Haryana in order to obtain technical expertise for consultancy, execution, and implementation through REMC developers in their territory.

A K Singhal, chief executive officer of REMCL said that in a time where the transportation industry is undergoing massive changes it is important to find solutions that are environmentally friendly. HRIDC took a positive step by signing the agreement with REMCL, he added.
