Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has announced the invitation of bids for the procurement of 600 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Phase XXI. These projects will be located at the solar park owned by Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL) in Khavda, Gujarat. Additionally, there is a greenshoe option for an additional 600 MW of power. The deadline for submitting online bids is August 1, 2023, with bid openings scheduled for August 4.
Bidders are required to pay a bid processing fee of ₹300,000 plus GST and an earnest money deposit of ₹400,000 per MW. The selected developer must provide a performance bank guarantee equivalent to ₹800,000 per MW after the issuance of the letter of intent but before signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).
The power project must be connected to the substation via a 33/400 kV internal pooling substation of the solar park. Only established and operational technologies are eligible for this tender, aiming to minimize technology risk and ensure timely commissioning.
Bidders from countries sharing a land border with India must be registered with the competent authority to participate. The solar modules used in the projects must have a warranty for peak output wattage, with minimum values of 90% after ten years and 80% after 25 years from the project’s commercial operation date. GUVNL has mandated the use of solar modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
