In a pioneering move set to reshape the power landscape of Eastern India, AmpIn Energy Transition, a leading renewable energy transition platform in India, has announced a groundbreaking investment of INR 3,100 crores. This investment aims to establish renewable energy projects exceeding 600 MW and an integrated manufacturing facility for solar cells and modules.

The strategic focus of these investments spans across West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Northeastern States, reflecting AmpIn Energy Transition’s dedication to expediting the adoption of clean energy solutions and accelerating the region’s shift towards renewable energy sources.

AmpIn Energy Transition boasts an impressive portfolio, holding the largest solar open access portfolio of over 200 MWp, a substantial 250 MWp wind solar hybrid project under a significant utility PPA with CESC, and an industrial solar project of 10.5 MW, representing the largest Behind the Meter deployment for an industrial customer. These assets collectively contribute to energy cost savings ranging from 25% to 40% for their diverse clientele spanning sectors such as Cement & Steel, IT & Data Centre, Heavy Engineering, FMCG, and Utilities.

Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharyya, MD and CEO of AmpIn Energy Transition, emphasized the pivotal role of the Eastern region in the renewable energy transition. He highlighted the company’s commitment to facilitating 100% renewable energy adoption for clients, backed by supportive policies like Green Energy Open Access. Bhattacharyya stressed the importance of collaboration among industries, solution providers, financial entities, and governmental bodies at central and state levels to ensure a successful transition.

AmpIn Energy Transition is also set to establish a state-of-the-art 1.3 GW solar manufacturing facility in Odisha, a move poised to significantly contribute to India’s solar energy goals and enhance regional self-sufficiency. This facility is expected to generate job opportunities, drive economic growth, and position the Eastern region as a key player in the renewable energy sector.

In a bid to engage stakeholders, AmpIn organized a seminar on Renewable Energy Transition for Commercial and Industrial Consumers in Kolkata in collaboration with industry association FICCI. The seminar hosted dynamic panel discussions featuring government and industry energy leaders, financiers, and stakeholders, deliberating on the roadmap to achieve 100% renewable energy for corporates and industrial consumers in East India.
