GUVNL’s 500 MW Solar Auction Awards to KPI Green, Avaada, BluPine, NRC, and Hinduja with Competitive Tariff Starting at ₹2.67/kWh

The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the results of its 500 MW (Phase XXIV) solar projects auction, with competitive tariffs and significant awarded capacities. The auction attracted several prominent players in the renewable energy sector, reflecting the growing interest and investment in solar energy in India.

KPI Green Energy emerged as one of the prominent winners, securing a substantial 120 MW at a competitive tariff of ₹2.67 per kWh. Following closely, Avaada Energy was awarded the largest share, with 200 MW, albeit at a slightly higher tariff of ₹2.68 per kWh.

Blupine Energy also made a notable entry, winning 40 MW at a tariff of ₹2.69 per kWh, indicating robust competition among bidders to offer economically viable rates. NCR Industries and Hinduja Renewables were awarded 10 MW and 130 MW respectively, both at a tariff of ₹2.72 per kWh.

This auction reflects the ongoing commitment of GUVNL to enhance the solar power infrastructure within the state, promoting sustainable and renewable energy sources. The competitive tariffs offered by these companies highlight the growing efficiency and cost-effectiveness of solar power projects in India.
