In a significant advancement for renewable energy infrastructure, JinkoSolar has finalized a supply contract with ACWA Power to deliver approximately 3 GW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for the Saudi PIF4 project. This contract underscores the successful execution of a previously established framework agreement aimed at fostering global collaboration in photovoltaic projects.

The contract encompasses two major sub-projects within the PIF4 cluster: the Haden and Al-Khushaybi solar power stations. The Haden project, boasting a capacity of around 1.2 GW, will be developed by the China Energy Engineering Group Consortium. It will feature JinkoSolarโ€™s cutting-edge high-efficiency N-type Tiger Neo series 78 modules, renowned for their performance and reliability.

Conversely, the Al-Khushaybi project will have a capacity of 1.8 GW and will be undertaken by Indiaโ€™s L&T. This project will utilize JinkoSolarโ€™s latest N-type Tiger Neo series 66 modules, reflecting the companyโ€™s commitment to technological advancement and sustainable energy solutions.

This supply agreement aligns with ACWA Powerโ€™s strategic vision, which recently included a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tunisian Government, specifically the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy. This partnership aims to explore the feasibility of a green hydrogen project in Tunisia, targeting an ambitious production goal of up to 600,000 tonnes per year across three phases, primarily for export to European markets.

As a global leader in photovoltaic module manufacturing and energy storage solutions, JinkoSolar continues to demonstrate its dedication to advancing clean energy initiatives and sustainability. The company currently operates ten manufacturing bases across China, the United States, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. With projections indicating a production capacity of 120 GW for silicon wafers, 95 GW for cells, and 130 GW for modules by the end of 2024, JinkoSolar maintains a strong emphasis on N-type technology, setting a benchmark in the industry for high-efficiency solar solutions.

This strategic partnership between JinkoSolar and ACWA Power marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of renewable energy projects in the region, positioning both companies at the forefront of the global shift towards sustainable energy sources.
