Airox Nigen has announced the launch of a significant solar module manufacturing facility in Haryana, under its new brand AHAAN SOLAR. The initiative marks the beginning of a 2 GW renewable energy project, aimed at strengthening India’s clean energy sector. Located in a 17-acre Renewable Energy Park in Rohnat, Haryana, the project also includes a 3 GW electrolyzer manufacturing plant branded Aspire Hydrogen, highlighting the company’s commitment to innovation in renewable energy.
The first phase of the project will involve a 600 MW solar module manufacturing facility, which is expected to start production within five months. This phase will lay the groundwork for the facility to scale up to its full capacity of 2 GW. The plant will utilize advanced technology to produce high-efficiency solar modules, catering to both domestic and international markets. The phased investment of ₹800 crores will boost India’s renewable energy capabilities while promoting sustainable economic growth.
The project aligns with national initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and the National Solar Mission, reinforcing India’s leadership in the renewable energy sector. It is expected to create local job opportunities and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Haryana’s strategic location and supportive policies have been pivotal in selecting Rohnat as the site for this ambitious venture.
According to Mr. Aniruddh Agrawal, Chief Strategy Officer of Airox Nigen, this facility is a bold step toward accelerating India’s green energy transition. He highlighted that the project would not only strengthen India’s renewable energy ecosystem but also empower local communities and contribute to sustainable development. The Renewable Energy Park is being designed with a focus on minimizing its carbon footprint and ensuring environmental sustainability throughout its operations.
Airox Nigen has been a pioneer in green hydrogen technology since 1994, with a strong track record of delivering over 75 hydrogen projects globally. The company’s expertise in hydrogen technology includes adsorption-based gas generators and advanced electrolyzer production. Airox Nigen has played a key role in India’s green hydrogen initiatives, working with esteemed clients like NPCIL, NTPC, and SJVN.
This solar module manufacturing project further underscores Airox Nigen’s vision of driving India’s renewable energy transition. As the first phase is completed next year, the company will focus on achieving the 2 GW capacity milestone, contributing significantly to India’s renewable energy targets and paving the way for a sustainable and energy-secure future.
