Arctech, a global leader in solar tracking and racking solutions, has signed a 1.5GW order with PowerChina to supply its SkyLine II single-axis solar trackers for the Al Ajban Solar PV project in the UAE. This milestone marks Arctech’s strong entry into the Middle East market in 2025. The Al Ajban Solar PV plant is a key part of the UAE Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to achieve zero-emission clean energy.
Once completed, it will be one of the world’s largest single-site solar plants, generating enough green electricity to power approximately 160,000 households. Additionally, it will cut Abu Dhabi’s annual carbon emissions by 2.4 million tons, supporting the region’s transition to renewable energy. Since 2017, Arctech has steadily expanded its Middle East presence with local offices, a service center, an R&D center, and a manufacturing base.
Its Jeddah Phase II facility, set to open in 2025, will increase the company’s regional manufacturing capacity to 15GW, backed by a global supply chain. Furthermore, Arctech’s comprehensive services in the Middle East now cover every stage of a project’s life cycle, from technical support and supply chain delivery to local operation and maintenance. Looking ahead, Arctech is committed to advancing the UAE’s energy goals with localized solutions and premium services.
