LIC Invites ₹53.67 Lakh Tender For Grid-Interactive Rooftop Solar Projects Across Wayanad And Malappuram In Kerala

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Divisional Office Kozhikode, has invited e-tenders for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of grid-interactive rooftop solar power plants for its branch offices under Cluster 2, covering Wayanad and Malappuram areas. The tender was issued on November 11, 2025. The total estimated project cost is ₹53.67 lakh, which includes installations of various capacities across five branch offices — 10 kWp at Kalpetta, 20 kWp at Sulthan Bathery, 15 kWp at Ramanattukara, 30 kWp at Perinthalmanna, and 30 kWp at Tirur. The completion period is 75 days, divided into 45 days for installation and 30 days for commissioning, net metering, and handover.

To qualify, bidders must have a minimum solvency of ₹107.34 lakh or a net worth certificate of ₹26.84 lakh. The average annual turnover should be ₹268.35 lakh, derived from the best three of the last five financial years ending March 31, 2025. Contractors must have experience in similar SITC rooftop solar works and must have completed at least one project of 24 kWp or above. They should also be MNRE-approved or recognized by the state nodal agency (like KSEB for Kerala). Joint ventures are not eligible.

The earnest money deposit (EMD) for the tender is ₹1,07,400 per cluster, and the non-refundable tender document fee is ₹590 (inclusive of 18% GST). The EMD payment must be made through NEFT to the Indian Bank, SM Street, Kozhikode, Account No. 472091116, IFSC Code: IDIB000K128. Payments close on November 18, 2025, at 23:59 hours. MSME or NSIC certificates will not be accepted for exemption from EMD or security deposit.

The tender process includes three bids — BID I (prequalification), BID II (technical), and BID III (financial). The tender release date is November 11, 2025, at 11:00 hours, and documents can be downloaded from November 11, 2025, at 11:30 hours to November 25, 2025, up to 16:59 hours. A pre-bid meeting will be held on November 18, 2025, at 11:00 hours. The last date for online submission of tender documents, EMD, and tender fees is November 25, 2025, by 23:59 hours. Physical submission of document proof with NEFT UTR number must be completed by November 26, 2025, up to 15:00 hours. The opening of BID I and BID II is scheduled for November 26, 2025, at 15:30 hours.
