Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., has received ISO 14001:2015 certification from TÜV Rheinland for its Environmental Management System (EMS), following an audit of the company’s operation and maintenance (O&M) division.
The certification confirms that Recurrent Energy’s global O&M services for renewable energy and energy storage installations operate in accordance with internationally recognized environmental management standards.
Recurrent Energy launched its O&M services in 2011 and has since expanded its operations across international renewable energy markets. The company currently provides O&M services for nearly 15 GW of contracted solar and energy storage projects across nine countries, supported by a global workforce of more than 500 employees.
The ISO 14001 certification recognizes the company’s systematic approach to managing environmental aspects across its O&M activities and its efforts to continuously improve environmental performance and integrate responsible practices into its operations.
The certification adds to Recurrent Energy’s existing ISO 9001 certification for Quality Management and ISO 45001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety, giving the company three internationally recognized management system certifications covering quality, safety and environmental management.
Dylan Marx, CEO of Recurrent Energy, said the three certifications reflect the standards underpinning the company’s global operations and demonstrate its commitment to quality, safety and environmental responsibility.
He added that the certifications support consistent service delivery throughout the project lifecycle and strengthen confidence among clients, partners and other stakeholders as Recurrent Energy continues to expand its global renewable energy platform.
