The Rome-based RES4Africa Foundation, committed in creating enabling environment for renewable energy investments in Africa, and Cluster Solaire, the Moroccan platform working to develop a competitive solar industrial sector, concluded an agreement to deepen their collaboration in the promotion of renewable energy solutions in Morocco.
With the Letter of Intent, the two organisations identify synergies to cooperate together in shaping enabling environments for renewable energy investments, promoting joint actions on private-public dialogue on scaling up RES and expanding activities of knowledge creation and capacity building.
Specifically, the parties agreed to share knowledge and expertise to renewable energy technological advancements and policies, as well as business models and best practices drawing on RES4Africa Foundation partners’ experiences and Cluster Solaire’s members and start-ups. They will also carry out joint studies related to RE technologies, green hydrogen, energy transition, grid access and integration of renewable energy into the electricity network and rural decentralized electrification. The cooperation will also pursue the creation of a consortium dedicated to the promotion of clean energy solutions in the North-African country. Lastly, RES4Africa and Cluster Solaire will also collaborate to develop joint projects on advancing innovation and acceleration of the deployment of renewable energy at national and international level, as well on business-to-governments events and webinars.
