MPPKVVCL Invites Bids For 7.5 MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Projects

Madhya Pradesh Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company (MPPKVVCL) has issued a tender for the development of 7.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems of varying capacities. The anticipated cost of the project is Rs 353.5 million, and the last date to submit proposals is April 30, 2022.


The project is part of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Program’s Phase II.

The scope of work includes design, erection, installation, testing, supply, and commissioning, as well as warranty and comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of 5 years.

The work must be completed within 2 months after the date of MNRE’s permission letter.

Rs 100,000 must be submitted by bidders as an earnest money deposit in addition to the tender cost of Rs 11,800.

The selected bidder’s performance bank guarantee (PBG) will be derived by multiplying the assigned capacity by 3% of the project’s total cost, which must be submitted within 30 days of the letter of the award being issued.

The selected bidder additionally has to pay a PBG for O&M within 30 days after empanelment.

The project is divided into four parts: A, B, C, and D. Projects of 1 kW to 3 kW are placed under Part A, while projects of capacity between 3 kW to 10 kW are put under Part B.

Part A has a total aggregate capacity of 3 MW, while Part B has a capacity of 3.5 MW. Applicants can apply for a minimum aggregate capacity of 100 kW and a maximum aggregate capacity of 700 kW.

Projects of more than 10 kW to 100 kW are placed under Part C, and projects of more than 100 kW to 500 kW are put under Part D. Bidders can propose a minimum aggregate capacity of 100 kW and a maximum aggregate capacity of 200 kW. The overall aggregate capacity of both parts is 500 kW each.

To participate in the bidding process, bidders must have developed, installed, delivered, and commissioned off-grid or grid-connected solar power undertakings with an aggregate capacity of at least 250 kW prior to the bid submission.

Bidders with no experience will not be permitted to make price bids and will only be permitted to execute rooftop solar projects if the L-1 price is matched.

Additionally, bidders must have a minimum average yearly turnover of Rs 5 million during the past three fiscal years and must have a net worth that was positive at the conclusion of the preceding fiscal year.

The financial qualifying conditions have been waived for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
