Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids for 75 MW projects at the UP Solar Park. These projects will be built in Makrecha (25 MW), Banghauli (20 MW), Tikar 1 and Tikar 2 (30 MW) in the Jalaun region of Uttar Pradesh.
The final date to submit the bids is 31st May, 2022.
The bidders must provide a Rs 8 Lakh as an earnest money deposit. The selected bidders would be required to pay Rs. 10.5 Lakh /MW within 30 days of the letter of intent or signing the PPA whichever is earlier.
The implementing agency for the solar power is Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL). UPPCL will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) on behalf of the Discoms and will directly purchase the power from these 75 MW solar projects for 25 years.
The tender’s ceiling tariff has been fixed at Rs. 3 /kWh for 25-year period.
To minimize technology risk and ensure timely commissioning, only commercially viable and operational technologies are acceptable.
When responding to the RfS, the solar developer must declare the annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF). A developer may revise the annual CUF within the first year after the date of commercial operation. The CUF for the project must remain the same throughout the term of the PPA. The annual declared CUF should not fall below 17%.
