Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has invited tenders to set up 300 MW of floating PV projects at Madhya Pradesh’s Omkareshwar Reservoir.
RUMSL intends to use Omkareshwar’s floating solar park in six independent units each with 100 MW of grid connected floating solar projects. Phase I and II will be used to construct the 600 MW capacity.
This tender is being issued to establish the second phase, which will see the development of three floating solar projects with a combined capacity of 100 MW.
The minimum bidder must quote 90 MW for each category. The Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company will acquire the energy generated from the projects according to the power purchase agreement.
Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is Rs. 9 crore per Unit. The deadline to submit bids is September 26, 2022. Bids will be opened on the next day.
According to the provisions of the power purchase arrangement (PPA), the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company will buy the energy produced by the units.
The procurer will enter into an agreement for a PPA with the floating power generator for 25 year.
RUMSL will be responsible for providing the power evacuation infrastructure to interconnect the unit and evacuate power to the delivery location.
Earlier AMP Energy, NHDC and SJVN had secured the first phase of the project. AMP, NHDC and SJVN were all awarded the 100-unit project capacity with bids of Rs 3.21, Rs 3.22 and Rs 3.26/unit, respectively. The project is to be completed on a Build Own and Opte (BOO).
