On February 20, 2023, Mr. Li Zhenguo, founder and president of LONGi Green Energy, met with Mr. Mohammad Abunayyan, chairman of ACWA Power and his team, in Guangzhou, China. The two sides have exchanged views on deepening strategic cooperation in clean energy and other fields, and have reached broad consensus.
Li Zhenguo welcomed the delegation from Abunayyan, and introduced the latest business layout of LONGi and LONGi’s vision of developing clean energy global wide. He said, LONGi focuses on technological innovation and endeavors to build its business in five areas—monocrystalline wafers, cells and modules, industrial and commercial PV solutions, power station solutions, and hydrogen energy systems. It has grown into a Green Electricity + Green Hydrogen product and solution provider that supports the global zero carbon drive. On behalf of LONGi, he also expressed the strong will to use the latest technology and products to support ACWA Power on clean energy projects in Saudi Arabia promoting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030’s goals, also its business throughout the world. And this is to serve China’s “Belt and Road” initiative as well.
Abunayyan introduced the overall business development strategy of ACWA Power. He said that ACWA Power is a world-leading professional developer, investor and operator in the fields of electric power and renewable energy, seawater desalination and green hydrogen energy. ACWA Power is working hard to promote Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030” goals. Meanwhile, Abunayyan congratulated LONGi team on the successful delivery of modules for the Red Sea 406MW photovoltaic project last year, and expressed the best wishes for the smooth and successful completion of the supply of photovoltaic modules for Sudair 1800MW project that is being delivered this year. He said that LONGi has already taken action on the helping Saudi Arabia realize its “Vision 2030”.
The talks were held in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, and the two sides have agreed that two parties should enhance the cooperation in clean energy field to inject new driving force for a deepen strategic partnership in recent future.
