City Energy and Senoko Energy, two prominent energy companies in Singapore, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly assess the technical and commercial viability of importing and supplying hydrogen between their facilities in northern Singapore.

The collaboration aims to explore the potential of establishing an efficient and reliable hydrogen supply chain into Senoko.

The companies will also explore opportunities related to green hydrogen to meet Singapore’s future hydrogen power requirements. The partnership aligns with Singapore’s National Hydrogen Strategy, which is a key element of the country’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The Chief Executive Officer of City Energy expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the goal of providing clean and sustainable energy to households and businesses.

The President and CEO of Senoko Energy emphasized their commitment to supporting low-carbon alternatives and producing cleaner and greener energy in line with Singapore’s Green Plan.

This MoU follows City Energy’s previous agreement with Gentari for hydrogen feasibility studies and its collaboration with institutes of higher learning to explore alternative sources of hydrogen.
