The Minister of Endowments, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places in Jordan, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, announced plans to establish three solar cell farms on endowment lands across the country.
The initiative, set to begin implementation next year, aims to reduce energy costs for the Kingdom’s 7,500 mosques.
Dr. Al-Khalayleh made this announcement during the opening of a charity forum and free medical day in the Rusaifah district.
As part of the charity efforts, aid was distributed to poor and needy families, including purchasing vouchers, cash assistance for orphans and university students, food parcels, and home restoration.
The project aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions for religious institutions.
