Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is seeking tenders for the supply and commissioning of outdoor grid-connected power conditioning units (PCUs) for a 300MW AC capacity floating solar power project in Rengali.
The deadline for bid submission is March 16, 2024, with bid opening scheduled for the same day.
The Rengali reservoir, under the ownership of the Water Resources Department of the Odisha Government, is situated in an area accessible via National Highway NH55 through State Highway SH63 (at Bhudapal) in Angul district.
Bidders are required to provide a five-year operation and maintenance (O&M) service, followed by an additional five years of annual maintenance contract post O&M completion.
The minimum assured annual generation in the initial O&M year at the metering point is set at 55.8 crore units (MUs).
No Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is needed for the tender. However, successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 3% of the contract amount.
Bidders are encouraged to visit the site to gather comprehensive information about existing conditions within and around the project premises. This includes understanding all legal, obligatory, and mandatory requirements set forth by different authorities before preparing and submitting their proposal.
Eligibility criteria necessitate that bidders have completed construction of at least one floating solar photovoltaic project with a minimum capacity of 5 MW. Additionally, bidders must have been responsible for designing and supplying the floating system’s Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and the anchoring/mooring system for the mentioned project. The referenced project must have been successfully operational for a minimum of six months from commissioning until the tender opening date.
Bidders’ average annual turnover over the past three financial years should meet or exceed โน84 crore, and their net worth should be positive according to the most recent audited accounts.
