Red Solar has launched a pioneering solar project, combining fish farming and solar energy with flexible support systems in Longhu Ding’an,Hainai,China.

The 70MW Fishery-Solar Complementary Photovoltaic Project is one of the largest of its kind in the region Hainan, setting a new standard for efficient land use and sustainable energy production.

The project features flexible support systems, designed to maximize land use and boost economic returns. By utilizing a large span andย high clearance design, the system allows for dual use of the land. Solar panels generate electricity above, while the space below is used for fish farming, ensuring that the same piece of land yields double benefits.

This innovative approach is not just about efficiencyโ€”itโ€™s about impact. Each year, the project will deliver 116.95 million kWh of clean electricity to the grid. This translates to saving 343,000 tons of standard coal and significantly cutting harmful emissions. Annually, it will reduce SO2 emissions by 29 million tons, NOx by 1,400 tons, and CO2 by 94,800 tons. Additionally, it will cut dust emissions by 25,900 tons, contributing to a cleaner environment.
